PULWAMA, JUNE 18: As a part of nationwide initiative Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), district administration Pulwama today organized a mega Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp at Sangerwani Pulwama.
The initiative envisions holistic upliftment of tribal communities through focused interventions in infrastructure, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and digital inclusion.
With strong inter-departmental coordination, various government departments including Health, Education, RDD, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, FCS&CA, Forest and others came together to deliver instant services and ensure last-mile delivery & wider outreach of public welfare schemes as envisioned by the Abhiyan.
Each departmental stall offered real-time assistance, enabling on-the-spot registrations, enrolment of beneficiaries, personalised scheme consultations, and dissemination of key information. Informative materials such as brochures, booklets, and pamphlets were distributed to encourage informed participation.
In a move to bring digital governance closer to the tribal community, a Common Service Centre (CSC) was established at the venue, facilitating citizens in enrolling, updating essential documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, Kisan Credit Card, Driving Licence, Ayushman Bharat Card, Domicile Certificate among others. The CSC also enabled access to various digital services and government initiatives.
On the occasion, Rural Development department established a dedicated service desk that enabled on-the-spot registration of Job Cards under MGNREGA, facilitated claims under the Forest Rights Act (FRA), and ensured coverage of eligible households under PMAY (G).
A dedicated stall by Mission Poshan was also set up at the camp, focusing on spreading awareness about nutrition and health among children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
DDC Member, Achgoze, Mansha Jan, was also present at the event. She highlighted the significance of the initiative in empowering tribal communities through doorstep delivery of welfare schemes and services. She interacted with the public, listened to their concerns, and assured them of continued support and coordination for effective implementation of government programmes at the grassroots level.
The Health Department conducted a comprehensive health camp, offering free consultations and medical services with a focus on sickle cell disease and water-borne illnesses.
The camp saw an overwhelming response from tribal residents, who commended the initiative for delivering crucial services and support at the grassroots level.
