KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 29: The Day 13 of Sewa Parv 2025 witnessed a series of impactful initiatives across Kishtwar District focusing on healthcare, cleanliness, environmental sustainability and citizen empowerment, held under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma.
The Animal Husbandry Department Kishtwar organized a Farmer Awareness Camp at Badhat Saroor, where mineral supplements and dewormers were distributed among farmers. Awareness sessions were also conducted on livestock care and winter management practices.
The Municipal Council Kishtwar carried out an anti-polythene drive, during which 10 kg of polythene was seized and fines were imposed on defaulters. In line with the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign, a Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) was identified and successfully cleared at Kichloo Mohalla (Ward No. 6). ULB staff and Swachhata Executives actively participated in the drive, demonstrating collective responsibility towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
The School Education Department organised a series of engaging activities including Yoga Sessions, Poster-Making Competitions and Green School Campus Pledges. Under the Health & Wellness – Yoga & Fitness program, students and staff participated in yoga practices, fitness drills, relaxation techniques and interactive activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and healthy lifestyle habits.
At HSS Ligri, the day’s activities included an awareness lecture delivered by SDPO Paddar on the harmful effects of drugs and their impact on society. This was followed by a plantation and sapling distribution drive, conducted in collaboration with the Forest Department, encouraging students and staff to contribute to greener surroundings.
As part of the Sewa Parv initiative, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs and Aadhaar cards were generated for beneficiaries at various Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) across Kishtwar District.
The Health Department also advanced the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan by conducting health camps and counselling sessions dedicated to women’s health and family well-being.
In addition, various departments including Health, Rural Development, ICDS, Forest, Education and Social Welfare undertook coordinated outreach and awareness programs across subdivisions, tehsils and blocks.
These efforts reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment towards inclusive development, social equity and citizen welfare.
