GANDERBAL, JUNE 19: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), the fifth benefit saturation and awareness camp was held today at Panchayat Satrina, Block Kangan, district Ganderbal.
Organized by the IEC team, the camp witnessed overwhelming participation from the tribal community, signifying deep grassroots engagement and growing awareness about government welfare programs.
The outreach focused on on-the-spot service delivery and comprehensive awareness generation to empower beneficiaries with both access and information.
A wide range of citizen-centric services were provided, including Aadhaar enrolment and updates, Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY registration, issuance of Scheduled Tribe certificates, Agri allied scheme enrolment, Jandhan account opening, Sickle Cell disease screening and awareness and access to multiple other mission-aligned benefits.
In addition to the service delivery, interactive IEC sessions were held to inform and educate attendees about schemes related to healthcare, education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities. These sessions also provided a platform for community members to raise queries and clarify doubts regarding their entitlements.
A key highlight of the day was the cultural performances that showcased rich tribal traditions, fostering a sense of pride and unity among participants. Informational material in local languages was widely distributed to ensure inclusivity and broader impact.
The camp saw the active involvement of sectoral and block-level officers, PRIs, frontline workers, and CSC representatives, highlighting robust interdepartmental coordination and field-level convergence. Local leaders and community elders appreciated the initiative, describing it as a meaningful step towards bridging policy and grassroots empowerment.
The day concluded with a reaffirmed collective resolve to work towards inclusive development, equitable service delivery, and sustained tribal empowerment across Ganderbal district.
