ANANTNAG, APRIL 04: On the auspicious occasion of the annual Urs of the revered saint Sakhi Zainuddin Wali (RA), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat, on Thursday visited the Aishmuqam shrine and took stock of the arrangements made for its smooth observance.

The DC was accompanied by the ADC, ACR, ASP, and other senior officers from the administration and various concerned departments.

On the occasion, the DC took a first-hand review of the facilities put in place for devotees who had thronged the holy site from different areas. He issued directions to the concerned officials to ensure that the devotees receive all necessary amenities and have a seamless experience during their stay.

Interacting with the devotees, Dr. Bilal took their feedback about the arrangements and also offered ceremonial prayers, praying for the prosperity and overall well-being of the people.

During the visit, a thorough inspection of essential services including uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation, and waste management, besides crowd management by local authorities, was conducted.

Calling the annual Urs of Sakhi Zainuddin Wali (RA) “a symbol of our rich cultural and spiritual heritage,” the DC said it is a priority to provide facilitation and convenience to the devotees so they feel the support of the administration.

Notably, thousands of devotees participated in the Zool Festival, reflecting a sense of the deep traditional and cultural ethos cultivated by the people of the area.
