BANDIPORA, MARCH 25: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) at the Mini Secretariat to review and approve cases under Mission YUVA.
During the meeting, a total of 201 cases were placed before the Committee for consideration. After scrutiny and deliberations, 188 cases were approved under the scheme.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of Mission YUVA in the district, including the status of applications and their processing to ensure timely benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for proper verification of cases and directed the concerned officers to ensure transparency and timely disposal of applications.
It was also informed that the District Administration is planning to focus on various potential sectors under Mission YUVA, including floriculture, herbal medicine cultivation, lotus-based products, and water chestnut processing, to promote local entrepreneurship and livelihood generation.
The Deputy Commissioner urged Interested Entrepreneurs to approach the Assistant Director Employment office for counselling before submission of their applications under the scheme.
The meeting was attended by District Officer Pollution Control Board Bandipora, District Nodal Officer JKEDI Bandipora, Lead Bank Manager J&K Bank Bandipora, Cluster Head J&K Bank Bandipora, District Development Manager NABARD Bandipora, Regional Manager Grameen Bank Bandipora, and other concerned officers.
