BANDIPORA, MARCH 27: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today inaugurated a district-level training programme for officers and officials associated with Census 2027 (Phase-I: Houselisting & Housing Census) at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

The training programme was organized to familiarize charge officers, nodal officers, and other field functionaries with the methodology, processes, and operational aspects of the upcoming census exercise, including the use of the Census Management & Monitoring System (CMMS).

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the critical importance of data accuracy, stating that the census is a highly sensitive and foundational exercise on which government policies, budgeting, and developmental planning are based. She urged all officers to carry out their duties with utmost diligence, responsibility, and integrity.

Highlighting the need for effective coordination, the DC directed the District Nodal Officer to remain in close liaison with the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Bandipora and Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Bandipora to ensure seamless execution of the exercise across the district.

It was informed that the census process involves multiple layers of checks and balances aimed at ensuring the reliability and credibility of data.

During the session, participants were briefed on key components of the houselisting phase, registration of enumerators and supervisors, formation of blocks, and monitoring mechanisms through CMMS dashboards.

The training witnessed active participation from district and sub-divisional level officers, who engaged in detailed discussions and sought clarifications on various operational aspects of the census.

The programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora; Chief Planning Officer Bandipora; SDM Sumbal; SDM Gurez; the Nodal Officer; District Coordinators; and other concerned officers and officials.
