BANDIPORA, JULY 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman, on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress and discuss various issues of the Semi Ring Road Phase II project.
The meeting focused on evaluating the current status, addressing challenges, land acquisition, coordination among various departments and ensuring the timely completion of the project.
The concerned officers provided updates on their respective responsibilities regarding Semi Ring Road Phase II.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Sumbal Aamir Choudhary highlighted the challenges and solutions being implemented. He also pointed out areas/issues requiring necessary interventions.
A total of 63 representations received over a period of time were discussed in the meeting and consequently, necessary directions were passed on to the concerned departments/stakeholders for resolution as per norms.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of the Semi Ring Road Phase II in enhancing connectivity and boosting economic activities in the region.
He urged all stakeholders to work collaboratively to overcome any obstacles and expedite the construction process.
He directed all concerned stakeholders to reddress bottlenecks promptly so that the project meets its objectives and deadlines. He also assured full support from the District Administration in this regard.
The meeting was attended by ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, SDM Sumbal Aamir Choudhary, Project Director NHAI, PIU Srinagar, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal and other concerned.
