BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman today visited the Transit Accommodation Odina village, Sumbal to assess the accommodation facilities and to ensure highest standards of safety, hygiene, and convenience to the migrant employees residing there.
During the visit, the DC took stock of various aspects of the facilities, including cleanliness, amenities, and accessibility, with focus on addressing any potential areas for improvement or enhancement.
While interacting with the employees residing there, the DC took feedback from them aimed at addressing any issues and improving the quality of services provided.
He stressed upon the significance of maintaining high standards in transit accommodation, highlighting the administration’s commitment to provide migrant employees secure, clean, and comfortable living conditions.
Earlier, a delegation of migrant employees met the DC at Sumbal to apprise him regarding various issues. The DC gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them of prompt action on all genuine issues.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal, Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal, BDO Ganastan, and other concerned officers.
