BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 25: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today flagged off two buses carrying 60 progressive farmers for an exposure-cum-training visit to Zawoora, Srinagar under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture – Tribal Sub Plan (MIDH-TSP).

Before departure, the DC interacted with the farmers at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, highlighting the importance of adopting modern horticultural practices to enhance productivity and income. He urged participants to observe new techniques during the visit and implement them in their fields for better results.

The programme, organised by the Department of Horticulture Baramulla, aims to expose farmers to advanced technologies, high-density plantation models, and successful farm management practices being implemented in Zawoora.

Chief Horticulture Officer, Farooq Ahmad Tantry, along with other concerned officers and officials from the Horticulture Department, were present during the event and briefed the farmers about the objectives and schedule of the day-long training.

The DC assured continued support from the District Administration to strengthen the horticulture sector through capacity-building and awareness initiatives.
