DC B’pora chairs meeting regarding pending NHRC cases

BANDIPORA, MARCH 04: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Monday convened a meeting at Mini Secretariat, here regarding pending National Human Rights Cases (NHRC).

The meeting was convened in view of the instructions of the Chief Secretary to accord priority to the cases filed before NHRC.

On the occasion, various cases were discussed in detail that were pending for reply with different departments.

It was informed that 31 cases of Bandipora are pending for detailed reports and onward submission to the Law Department.

The DC underscored the urgency of filing replies of the pending complaints and directed all the concerned departments to submit the report of pending cases, at an earliest, so that the same are submitted to the Law Department for legal vetting and thereafter the final submissions before the NHRC.

The meeting was attended by ADC, Umar Shafi Pandit; ASP Bandipora, ACR, HoP KGHEP, NHPC, DSWO, Tehsildar Bandipora, EO MC Bandipora/Sumbal and other concerned.
