DC Budgam Approves Fresh Cases under HADP, JKCIP, ISDS, IDDS to Boost Agriculture & Allied Sectors in District

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a meeting regarding the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP), the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS), and Integrated Dairy Development Scheme (IDDD) at the New Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Budgam.

The meeting was convened to evaluate and approve eligible applications received from various Agriculture and Allied Departments.

During the session, the DC approved 03 cases under HADP, taking the total number of approved cases under the programme to 47, including 44 cases approved earlier.

Under JKCIP, the District Level Committee (DLC) approved 889 new cases, in addition to 465 cases approved earlier, raising the total to 1,354 approved cases across Budgam district.

Similarly, under the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS), 141 cases were approved today, taking the cumulative total to 404 cases, including 263 cases approved earlier.

Under Integrated Dairy Development Scheme (IDDS), 65 cases were approved, taking the total approvals under the scheme to 139 so far.

While reviewing the schemes, the DC reiterated that agriculture and allied sectors remain the backbone of Budgam’s rural economy. He emphasized that these government interventions provide direct livelihood support, introduce modern technology, strengthen value chains, and enhance market competitiveness for farmers, youth, and livestock rearers.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure timely implementation, handholding support, and close coordination with all beneficiaries so that each sanctioned project is executed transparently and efficiently on the ground without delays.

Highlighting the vast potential of Budgam in horticulture, livestock, fisheries, and dairy sectors, the DC noted that effective tapping of these resources can significantly transform the district’s socio-economic landscape and generate employment opportunities for rural youth.

The meeting was attended by CPO, ACP, CAO, CAHO, CHO, DSHO, DSO, AMO, AD Fisheries, representatives from NABARD, LDM Budgam, DFO Budgam, HPM, PO KVK and other concerned officers.
