BUDGAM, JULY 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the status of public complaints received through the JK-Samadhan Portal, the UT Government’s flagship platform for grievance redressal.
The meeting was held in the New Conference Hall of DC Office Budgam.
As per the latest official data, a total of 2458 grievances have been received so far on the JK-Samadhan Portal in district Budgam and 2151 stand resolved as on date in the District.
DC conducted a department-wise review of grievance status, focusing on both the quantity and quality of disposal.
He underlined that grievance redressal is one of the most direct reflections of administrative accountability and citizen trust. He said that every grievance needs to be taken seriously, resolved at the earliest possible, and immediately forwarded to the concerned quarters for necessary action.
Dr Bilal emphasised that delays in response or inaction weaken the public’s confidence in the system and must be avoided at all costs.
He further directed all departments to ensure prompt and quality disposal of grievances, stressing that mechanical replies or half-hearted resolutions are not acceptable.
DC directed each officer of the district to personally monitor the dashboard, follow-up on long-pending or escalated issues, and ensure that replies are meaningful, factual, and solution-oriented.
He highlighted the need for better coordination among departments, especially in grievances involving overlapping responsibilities. He instructed that pending grievances be reviewed weekly at departmental level, and strict timelines be followed for each case.
Besides, ADC Budgam, all SDMs, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildars, DySP hq, and representatives from CID, FCS&CA, ARTO, Legal Metrology, Youth Services and Sports, Municipal Committees, and other officers attended the meeting.
