Bandipora, September 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr Owais Tuesday convened a meeting to discuss implementation of Vishwakarma.
The meeting was attended by General Manager District Industries Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Bandipora, Cheif Executive Officers of ULBs, bank officials besides other concerned.
The meeting was informed that the ‘PM Vishwakarma Yojana Schem’ was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 and was launched on September 17, 2023, to support traditional craftsmen and local artisans throughout the nation.
Around 30 lakh households of artisans and craftspeople are expected to profit from the program.
The meeting chaired by the DC was held to formulate a comprehensive plan for the implementation of Vishwakarma scheme in Bandipora.
The DC thread discussed the successful implementation of the scheme and directed the concerned to organise awareness programmes so that people are made aware of the benefits of the scheme.
The DC said that Government has kept several welfare schemes available and thus urged people to come farward and reap benefits of such schemes.
