DODA, DECEMBER 23: District Development Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today reviewed progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), here at a meeting held in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Nodal Officer HADP, Chief Agriculture Officer and district officers from all allied departments associated with HADP.

The DC reviewed the overall progress of HADP’s 29 integrated projects, being implemented under the coordination of the Agriculture Production Department.

The stakeholder departments delivered detailed presentations on physical and financial achievements in Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Dairy Development, Apiculture, and Farm Mechanization.

The DC emphasised convergence among departments to strengthen sustainability, productivity, value addition and market linkages to boost the district’s agri-economy and farmer income.

A detailed review of projects under JKCIP was also undertaken, with discussions on expenditure, physical progress and outcomes at the ground level. For effective utilisation of funds and quality implementation, the DC directed officers to intensify field visits, ensure real-time monitoring and verify on-ground impact.

Appreciating the increasing registration of applications under JKCIP, the DC stressed the need for speedy approvals and timely completion of cases to reduce pendency and improve beneficiary satisfaction.

Issuing further directions, the DC instructed the departments to strengthen linkage of farmers with FPOs, ensure daily monitoring of HADP activities and effective working of KKG Centres. The Chief Agriculture Officer was directed to convene regular review meetings with nodal officers and Boards of KKGs Centres to improve performance, enhance coordination and increase farmer registrations. The DC reiterated that outcome-oriented implementation, transparency, and farmer-centric delivery are essential to achieve the objectives of HADP and create a resilient and sustainable agricultural ecosystem in the district.
