GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 15: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a Local Level Committee (LLC) focusing on the critical issue of legal guardianship under the National Trust Act.

The meeting, held in the V.C Room of the DC Office, aimed at developing an effective action plan to ensure the enrollment of all eligible beneficiaries under the National Trust scheme.

The meeting was attended by several key officials and stakeholders, including the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Ganderbal, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ganderbal, the Executive Director of Hope Centre, Technical Support Manager of Hope Centre, and other Members of the Local Level Committee.

During the meeting, a comprehensive action plan was formulated to facilitate the identification and enrollment of eligible persons with disabilities, ensuring they receive legal guardianship under the National Trust Act.

The discussions focused on improving inter-departmental coordination, raising awareness about the scheme, and addressing any challenges faced by the beneficiaries in accessing the services.

The DC emphasized the importance of timely implementation of the action plan to ensure the benefits of the National Trust scheme reach every eligible person in the district.

The meeting marks a step forward in promoting the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities in Ganderbal, aligning with the broader mission of the National Trust Act.
