DC Ganderbal reviews progress achieved under Capex Budget 2025-26, CDF & Tribal works

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today chaired a comprehensive review meeting here to assess the progress achieved under the District Capex Budget 2025-26, Constituency Development Fund (CDF), and works under Tribal plan under UT Capex.

At the outset, Chief Planning Officer presented a detailed overview of progress under the District Capex Budget 2025-26, CDF and Tribal works.

The meeting evaluated physical and financial achievements made under all the schemes department wise including assessment of the number of works sanctioned, tendered, allotted and taken up for execution across different sectors, besides identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring the timely execution of developmental projects across the district.

The chair was informed that out of 1381 total works under District Capex, 1319 have been accorded among which 1318 stand tendered while 1300 have been allotted for execution. It was also informed that out of these 950 have been taken up and 308 works stand completed.

The DC emphasized transparency, timely tendering and strict quality monitoring to ensure effective utilization of resources and fast execution of public works.

He issued directions to departments lagging behind schedule to adhere to strict deadlines. He also directed concerned officers to take block-wise review of works on a daily basis to ensure their completion within stipulated time.

Senior officials, including Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer PW (R&B), Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Chief Medical Officer, District Treasury Officer, Block Development Officers, Executive Engineers, as well as sectoral officers from Agriculture, Education, Youth Services & Sports, participated in the review besides representatives of JAKEDA and other line departments.
