DC inspects Lodgment centres & CSC for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 25: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Saloni Rai along with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia paid visit at various Lodgment centres/Community Sanitary Complexes alongside the National Highway from Jakhani to Kali Mata temple Tikri within the territorial jurisdiction of district Udhampur and enquire about the facilities being put in place for the pilgrims during upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji yatra 2024.

During the visit, the DC inspected various Lodgement centres/CSC and stressed upon the officers to maintain proper and regular cleanliness of these centres so that a best hygienic facilities shall be provided to the pilgrims for their comfortable pilgrimage.

The DC had a detailed review of the available infrastructure and requisite facilities in the designated Lodgment Centres /Community Sanitary Complexes. The DC also enquired about the status of Augmentation of drinking water supply, sanitation, electricity, lodging, availability of bedding capacity etc in the centres. The DC asked the concerned officers to ensure adequate arrangements in these designated Centres.

The DC stated that the District Administration will make all efforts for providing best facilities to the yatris and make provision of other basic amenities also. CEO Municipality, Executive Engineer, PHE, PDD, PWD and Tehsildar Udhampur were directed to ensure fool-proof arrangements of all the basic amenities wherever required well in advance.
