KATHUA, JULY 21: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a District-Level Capacity Building Workshop on the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP) at the Conference Hall, Kathua.

The workshop aimed at enhancing the capacity of district officers for effective utilisation of the PM Gati Shakti Portal to strengthen integrated planning, infrastructure development and inter-departmental coordination.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said the GIS-enabled platform would promote data-driven governance, informed decision-making and timely execution of development projects. He directed all departments to obtain portal access and utilise it effectively for planning, monitoring and implementation of projects and to nominate Maker, Checker and Approver for timely and authenticated uploading of departmental data on the portal, besides ensuring greater inter-departmental coordination for optimum use of the platform.

The technical team from the Industries & Commerce Department, the nodal department for PM Gati Shakti in J&K, conducted detailed sessions on portal access, live demonstrations, Data Upload Management System (DUMS), analytical tools and data management. The sessions were led by Santosh Kumar Rai, Technical Expert (PM Gati Shakti, J&K) and Yudhishther Seth, who provided hands-on training to the participants.

Among those present were General Manager DIC, PO ICDS, RTO, ACD and other district and sectoral officers.
