KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today disbursed ₹32,98,059 as compensation to the Next of the Kin (NoK) of deceased workers under the provisions of the Employees’ Compensation Act- 1923.
The compensation, facilitated by the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, , was disbursed to Ravinder Kumar, who received ₹16,48,059, while Pinky Devi and Adarsh Bala were provided compensation of ₹10 lakh and ₹6.50 lakh, respectively.
The disbursement was carried out in accordance with the statutory provisions governing compensation to eligible dependents of deceased workers.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner Muneer Hussain said that the Labour Department remains committed to ensuring timely delivery of statutory benefits to eligible beneficiaries and facilitating access to compensation in accordance with the provisions of labour laws.
