DC Kishtwar approves Calendar of Activities for IYC-2025, Reviews Working of M-PACS

KISHTWAR, JANUARY 30: The 3rd District Level Cooperative Development Committee (DLCDC) meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan to approve the calendar of activities for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 (IYC-2025).

After thorough discussions, a comprehensive calendar of activities was approved by the DC, including the organization of a Sehkar Mela, health camps, and awareness & training camps in collaboration with the Agriculture and allied departments.

The Committee also approved a plan for the formation of new cooperatives/FPOs in Kalazeera, Walnut, and Rajmash.

Additionally, the Committee reviewed the implementation of decisions taken at the last two Joint Working Committee meetings.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives (DRCS), and other committee members to expedite the formation of new M-PACS, Dairy and Fisheries Cooperative Societies.

He also instructed them to identify potential Panchayats for mobilizing cooperative membership through awareness camps in collaboration with allied departments.

Earlier, Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal provided an overview of the cooperative sector’s overall scenario in the district.

The meeting was attended by Dy. Registrar Cooperative/EO Municipality Kishtwar Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal, AD Handicraft Pardeep Shan, CHO Kishtwar Sajid Mustafa, DSHO Kishtwar, LDM Kishtwar, DDM NABARD, AR Cooperative, staff of cooperative department and others.
