KULGAM, JUNE 20: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today chaired an IPPI (Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization) review meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Pulse Polio campaign.
The meeting was attended by officers from the Health Department and other concerned stakeholders.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the preparedness of the district and stressed the importance of ensuring that no eligible child is left out of the immunization drive. It was informed that a target of 87,770 children has been set for vaccination across the district. For the successful implementation of the campaign, 519 vaccination booths and 13 transit camps have been established to cover children at fixed sites as well as those on the move.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure effective awareness, monitoring, and supervision to achieve 100 percent coverage of the target population.
