KUPWARA, MAY 2: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, chaired a meeting today to review the progress and implementation of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Programme in the district.
A detailed assessment focused on coverage, awareness, and outreach strategies, with the DC stressing timely vaccination for the targeted age group to prevent cervical cancer.
He directed Health, Education departments to intensify coordinated efforts, enhancing parent and student awareness on vaccine benefits while prioritizing remote, underserved areas to achieve maximum coverage without leaving any eligible beneficiary behind.
The DC also scrutinized logistical aspects, including vaccine availability, cold chain management, and vaccination team deployment, instructing officials to promptly address bottlenecks and maintain accurate records.
Attendees, including Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Planning Officer, District Immunization Officer, Block Medical Officers, and others, briefed on the current status and measures for effective implementation.
