DC Poonch chairs District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee meeting to review SRO-43 cases

POONCH, SEPTEMBER 08: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee in his office chamber to review POK Shelling victim cases and militancy related cases under SRO-43.

The meeting was attended by Commander 120, 10 and 93 infantry brigade c/o 56 APO, Commander 6 sector R.R S/o APO, Senior Superintendent of Police, Shafaket Hussain Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammad Sayeed, Headquarter Assistant to DC Palvi Verma and officers from the CID and security agencies.

During the meeting, ADC Poonch provided a detailed briefing to the Chair regarding the current status of each case. After a comprehensive discussion and evaluation, the Committee approved several eligible cases under SRO-43.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for timely disposal of SRO-43 cases, noting that it plays a crucial role in reinforcing the trust of the affected families in the government machinery.

The DC also directed the concerned departments to maintain a proactive approach and ensure that all necessary formalities and verifications are completed well in time for SRO-43 cases.
