POONCH, MAY 13: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today visited Middle Panchayat Sanai to inspect a modern poultry unit established under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP-P25) 2025-26.
The unit, with a capacity of 10,000 Layer birds, has been sponsored by the Animal Husbandry Department, reflecting the efficacy of the HADP support system in promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment across farming sectors.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the infrastructure and functioning of the farm. He interacted with the beneficiary and inquired about the implementation of the project. He appreciated the initiative and termed it a significant step towards strengthening the rural economy and generating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that HADP schemes are proving instrumental in transforming the agriculture and allied sectors by encouraging modern and income-generating ventures. He directed the concerned officers to continue providing technical guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs so that more youth can benefit from such schemes.
The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
