DC Pulwama reviews preparations for Grand Republic Day-2025 celebrations

PULWAMA, DECEMBER 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom Monday chaired a comprehensive meeting to meticulously review the arrangements for the Republic Day, 2025 celebrations in Pulwama.

The meeting witnessed the participation of senior officials from various government departments and security agencies, emphasizing the collective commitment to ensuring a flawless and grand celebration. Dr. Qayoom emphasised on completing preparations promptly, while adhering to stringent security protocols to guarantee a safe and memorable event.

During the discussions, the DC directed all departments to work in close coordination to facilitate the smooth execution of planned events. Special emphasis was laid on preparing the venue, alongside suitable arrangements for seating, sound systems and illumination of government buildings and infrastructure.

The Health Department was instructed to ensure robust medical preparedness, including first aid and ambulance services at the venue, particularly in light of the cold weather conditions.

Dr. Qayoom also called for a vibrant and culturally enriching celebration, tasking officials with curating captivating cultural programs and a meticulously planned parade. He reiterated the importance of adhering to the Flag Code to ensure the respectful hoisting and handling of the National Flag.

Furthermore, Committees of officers have been constituted and assigned tasks for effective coordination and smooth preparations for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.

Highlighting the need for teamwork and timely execution, the DC urged officials to collaborate effectively and submit detailed action plans and progress updates.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to making Republic Day, 2025 a grand and memorable celebration, reflecting the unity and diversity of the nation.
