PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 21: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom on Thursday conducted an extensive visit to the AIIMS construction site and surrounding areas to review key security measures, including the installation of CCTV systems, perimeter security access control and status of bottlenecks in execution of key components including utilities.
The DC was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Awantipora and other concerned officials.
During the visit, Dr. Qayoom emphasized the need for efficient security measures, directing officials to ensure that the CCTV systems at the site are fully operational and integrated. The project management was advised to put in place measures ensuring access control and proper lighting systems aiding continuous monitoring.
He also reviewed the progress of the Utility projects and bottlenecks, directing stakeholders to resolve site related issues.
Dr Qayoom stressed timely completion of the AIIMS project and its associated infrastructure while addressing local concerns effectively.
Later, the DC also visited Transit accommodation site to review project site security and progress.
