RAJOURI, JULY 29: In a determined effort to intensify the fight against drug abuse, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma alongside Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Sikarwar today chaired a meeting of the District Level Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) Committee.

The meeting was convened to comprehensively review and strengthen the district’s anti-drug initiatives and evaluate the performance of departments involved in enforcement, awareness, rehabilitation, and monitoring. Emphasis was laid on inter-departmental coordination, youth engagement, and strict compliance with regulatory frameworks.

The DC directed all line departments to ensure active youth participation in awareness and outreach activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. He stressed that the anti-drug events must be conducted strictly in accordance with the scheduled calendar and warned of disciplinary action in cases of laxity or deviation.
Taking serious note of discrepancies in data management, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to ensure timely and accurate uploading of reports and updates on the Nasha Mukt Bharat portal. He stated that any negligence in this regard would be viewed seriously and necessary action would be initiated against the erring officials.
