RAMBAN, JANUARY 07: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today presided over a well-attended Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Balawat and resolved most issues raised by the locals on the spot.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the stalls set up by the government departments to facilitate real-time service delivery and grievances redressal.

Among those present were ACD Sheraz Ahmed; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; Tehsildar Deep Kumar; DSWO, ALC, CMO, CAO, CAHO, CHO, BDO, Executive Engineers from JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD (R&B), PMGSY and other sectoral officers and public representatives.

Responding to public issues, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO to take concrete measures to make available adequate staff in schools and to organize an Aadhaar linkage camp in the area. He also directed the CMO to ensure proper healthcare facilities for the locals, including smooth functioning of the Health Sub-Centre and timely availability of medicines. Further, the CMO was instructed to conduct PM-Ayushman Card registration camps in the area.

He also directed bankers to organize camps in the area and facilitate Digital Life Certificates for elderly persons. The CAHO and DSHO were instructed to deploy mobile veterinary vans with medicines to the area on a weekly basis.

Responding to other demands, the DC directed the concerned departments to ensure regular maintenance and macadamization of roads and installation of required electric poles to strengthen power infrastructure, particularly in snow-bound areas. He also announced that the issue of starting a JKRTC bus service to the area would be taken up with the concerned department.
