RAMBAN, JULY 08: In a bid to expedite ongoing developmental initiatives and ensure timely completion of public welfare projects, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a comprehensive meeting to assess the preparation of the District CAPEX Budget 2025-26 under the Rural Development Department (RDD).

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Development Shrinath Suman, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) and other concerned officials.

During the meeting, DC reviewed the formulation of the CAPEX plan, setting a two-day deadline for finalization. He emphasized the timely uploading of the plan on the BEAMS portal for subsequent submission to the Finance Department for the release of funds.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all BDOs to revisit their respective plans to ensure the inclusion of works that are genuinely beneficial to the community. He strictly advised against the inclusion of ambiguous works or those that cater to individual benefits.

Stressing the importance of grassroots involvement, DC instructed that all developmental projects be taken up in consultation with the Gram Sabhas, with special focus on essential public infrastructure such as schools, main markets, lanes, drains, water tanks, electric poles, transformers and other community utility assets.

The DC also directed the BDOs to expedite the enrollment under Mission YUVA within stipulated times and IEC campaigns in their respective blocks. He further stressed the importance of active community participation and transparency in developmental processes.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and result-driven governance, DC Ramban directed all RDD officials to adopt a proactive and mission-oriented approach to ensure timely completion of all targets and effective utilization of resources.
