RAMBAN, MAY 22: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting of the District Registering Authority Committee under the Clinical Establishments (Registration & Regulation) Rules, 2020, here at the DC Office Complex to review registration and regulation of clinical establishments in the district.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shokat Hayat Mattoo; Assistant Commissioner Development Sheraz Ahmed; Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kamal Jee Zadoo and Medical Superintendent District Hospital Dr. Surdeshan Singh Katoch, besides other concerned officers.

Threadbare discussions were held regarding implementation of the Clinical Establishments Act and measures in place for registration, regulation and monitoring of healthcare institutions operating in the district. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for strict adherence to prescribed norms and standards to ensure quality healthcare services for the public.

The Deputy Commissioner underlined the need for close coordination among enforcement departments for effective implementation of the rules and timely disposal of registration-related matters.

The DC also reviewed the implementation of the “TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” in the district. He assessed the progress achieved under the campaign and directed health officials to intensify awareness activities, screening drives and treatment follow-up to achieve the target of TB elimination in a mission mode.

The Health Department informed the chair about the measures undertaken under the campaign, including active case finding, awareness generation and ensuring availability of diagnostic and treatment facilities across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Medical Officer to utilize the services of ASHA workers for proper follow-up and regular communication with TB patients to ensure adherence to treatment and effective monitoring.
