UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 2: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai on Monday chaired a crucial meeting to review the progress of the ongoing special summary revision of the Panchayat Electoral Roll in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Tanvir Wani; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjit Singh Kotwal and all Block Development Officers.
The DC took a comprehensive review from the BDOs regarding the progress achieved in the ongoing exercise.
She emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency and adopting a proactive approach to maximize public participation. She directed the BDOs to engage Lambardars and Chowkidars in sensitizing the public about the revision process, thereby ensuring that no eligible voter is left behind.
DC stressed the need for organizing special camps at the block level to facilitate the revision process.
