SAMBA, MAY 28: Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma today chaired a review meeting at the DC Office to assess the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of coordinated departmental efforts to tackle the menace of drug abuse through impactful awareness campaigns. It was decided to organize a marathon along with volleyball and cricket matches as part of the ongoing outreach initiatives aimed at engaging youth and promoting a drug-free society.
Concerned departments were instructed to mobilize students, youth, and local residents for these events and ensure smooth execution through mutual coordination. The DC urged officials to sustain the momentum of the campaign and intensify IEC activities across the district.
The meeting was attended by officers from Revenue, Education, Social Welfare, Excise, Youth Services & Sports, Cooperative, and Sports Council departments.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen community-based efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
