SAMBA, OCTOBER 05: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation of Mission YUVA in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner undertook a detailed review, with particular focus on applications received, cases sanctioned and loans disbursed to eligible beneficiaries. She directed the concerned officers and field functionaries to intensify outreach and awareness activities to substantially increase the number of applications under the Mission. She emphasized the need for greater awareness among aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly at the grassroots level, to ensure that eligible youth and prospective entrepreneurs are able to avail the benefits of the scheme.
She further directed the concerned departments, banks and field-level teams to work in close coordination for expeditious processing and disposal of cases, with special focus on enhancing the number of sanctioned and disbursed cases.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for a result-oriented and coordinated approach by all stakeholders towards achieving the objectives of Mission YUVA and facilitating aspiring entrepreneurs in establishing sustainable self-employment and livelihood ventures.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Champa Devi, ACR, GM DIC, SDMs of Vijaypur and Ghagwal, AD Employment, Cluster Head J&K Bank, officers of NRLM, besides members of SBDU/BHD and other concerned officials.
