SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 18: A meeting of the District Level Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar for approval of sponsorship cases for POCSO Victims of the district.
A total of eleven (11) cases were approved for sanction of financial assistance in favour of child victims of sexual violence. The assistance is given to the victims to provide them necessary support for rehabilitation and education purposes.
The DC also reviewed a case of Legal guardian certificate. He gave directions to committee members under the National Trust Act to verify the case for issuance of Legal Guardian certificate.
The certificate is issued to the guardian of a person, suffering from Multiple disorders like Mental disorder, Autism, cerebral palsy, who can run his/ her bank account and manage property of specially-abled person and take care of the person.
