DC Srinagar reviews progress on saturation of Government flagship schemes in rural areas of District

SRINAGAR JANUARY 07: In order to assess the progress on the saturation of various Government flagship schemes in the Rural Blocks of the district, a meeting of concerned Officers was today held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office.

The meeting was convened in the backdrop of month long saturation campaign launched across all rural blocks of the district to cover every eligible beneficiary under different beneficiary oriented schemes and key citizen centric programmes related to social welfare, livelihood, agriculture & farmer welfare housing, employment generation and other public welfare schemes.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised of the block-wise achievements made under the saturation campaign in various Rural Development Blocks of Srinagar District, including Harwan, Khonmoh, Srinagar and Qamarwari. Detailed presentations highlighted efforts undertaken to ensure maximum outreach and enrolment of eligible beneficiaries under different government-sponsored schemes.

While reviewing the progress, the DC emphasized the need for intensified outreach at the grassroots level and stressed upon conducting door-to-door surveys and proactive service delivery to bridge existing gaps. He directed all Block Development Officers to work with missionary zeal and ensure that every eligible household and individual is covered under the respective welfare schemes, leaving no beneficiary behind.

The DC also underscored the importance of strengthened coordination among line departments and block-level officers. He instructed all concerned officers to work with renewed focus, dedication, and accountability to achieve the saturation targets within the stipulated timeframe.

The DC further highlighted the commitment of the district administration towards ensuring last-mile delivery of Government initiatives so that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries in an efficient and time bound manner.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; PO ICDS, Bureeda Majeed; Assistant Commissioner Development, Tariq Ahmad Reshi; District Social Welfare Officer, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, all Block Development Officers, all District/Sectoral Officers, LDM(Banks), other Officers and Engineers.
