UDHAMPUR, MAY 20: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of officers from the line departments to review the implementation and progress of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign in the district.
The DC took a detailed review of the Information, Education and Communication activities being conducted in the district under the anti-drug campaign. He emphasized the need to intensify awareness drives at the grassroots level. He directed concerned officers to strengthen reporting mechanisms and widen the outreach activities. He also directed the departments to ensure regular uploading of daily campaign activities on the designated portal.
The DC underscored the importance of active collaboration among all stakeholder departments for effective dissemination of anti-drug messages and IEC initiatives. He called for greater involvement of educational institutions, civil society organizations and the community at large to make the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan more impactful, result-oriented and successful in creating a drug-free society.
