UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 6: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of the District Valuation Committee in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office to review stamp duty rates proposed for the year 2025.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed proposals submitted by Sub-Division-level committees and directed the ACR and SDMs to revisit the proposed rates. The revision is to be based on current market trends and registration data from 2024.

ACR Dr. Umesh Shan provided an in-depth analysis of the proposed rates, presenting the area-wise percentage enhancements for 2025.

The DC emphasized the importance of adhering to established criteria for rate fixation and instructed the officers to conduct a comprehensive review. She called for a classification of the rate structure based on area categories to ensure fair and accurate finalization of the stamp duty rates for the District.

The officers were urged to finalize the rates promptly while ensuring transparency and alignment with market conditions.
