DDC Anantnag inspects Key Infrastructure Projects

ANANTNAG, MARCH 24: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat today conducted a comprehensive visit to several vital infrastructure sites at the district headquarters.

The DDC was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tehsildar Anantnag, and various other senior officers and officials from the concerned departments.

During the tour, the DDC visited the 4 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant at Mehndi Kadal to review its overall performance and technical functioning. He inspected the core components of the plant, including the inlet and outlet systems, to assess its operation and compliance with prescribed standards.

On the occasion, the DDC was provided a detailed briefing on the treatment processes and the current discharge levels by the concerned engineers.

Dr. Bilal also visited the Indoor Stadium at Bangidar, which is currently being developed by the Municipal Council (MC) Anantnag through the R&B Department as the executing agency.
Notably, the stadium had sustained structural damage during the recent floods, hindering its completion and usage.

Taking immediate congnisance of the matter, the DDC directed the Secretary, MCA, to prepare a revised estimate for the necessary repairs and remaining construction work and submit the same on a priority basis.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC reiterated the administration’s commitment to providing modernistic sports and civic infrastructure. He directed the executing agencies to expedite all pending works while ensuring the quality and durability of the structures and assets.
