ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 24: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, today undertook a comprehensive visit to the Subdivision Dooru and inspected various public institutions, establishments and development projects.
The inspection focussed on reviewing their functioning, available facilities and delivery of public services besides progress on ongoing works.
During the visit, the District Development Commissioner inspected the new SDM Office at Dooru, which is presently under construction, and reviewed the progress of the ongoing work. He directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of the project while adhering to the prescribed quality standards. He was briefed by officers from executing agencies about the physical and financial progress achieved on the project so far.
The DDC also visited Subdistrict (Model) Hospital Dooru and took stock of the healthcare facilities available to the public. He reviewed the availability of essential medical services and infrastructure and interacted with the concerned officers to inquire about the issues, if any, being faced during delivery of critical healthcare services.
He further took first hand stock of different sections of this important institution and asked the staff to ensure smooth and quality service delivery to the patients visiting the hospital.
Interacting with the patients and attendants, the DDC enquired about the quality of the services and asked the staff to ensure all the available services are provided to them in the best possible way.
Concluding the visit, the DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely resolution of public issues and effective response to the citizens’ concerns. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to improve public facilities and ensure satisfying services to the general public.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by CEO VDA, SDM Dooru, Tehsildar, BMO, AEE R&B and other concerned officers.
