UDHAMPUR, MARCH 07: A meeting to discuss newly proposed projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-IV was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand, in his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, DDC members, Executive Engineers PMGSY and PWD, along with other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions were held on various aspects of the proposed projects, including their approval process and the comprehensive upgradation and consolidation plan for uncovered habitations identified in the 2011 census under PMGSY Phase-IV.
The DDC Chairperson emphasized the council’s commitment to prioritizing projects that address local needs and aspirations. He expressed confidence that extending road connectivity to unconnected habitations would pave the way for sustainable growth and equitable development across the district.
Stressing the need for effective collaboration among all stakeholders, he urged departments to work in coordination to accelerate the implementation of these projects and ensure visible progress.
He further directed the concerned departments to expedite the preparation of DPRs at the earliest so that the identified unconnected habitations could be covered under the scheme without delay.
