POONCH, MARCH 12: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Kundal on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of the Sathra Block in Mandi Tehsil, assessing the progress of the developmental projects aimed at enhancing the socio-economic landscape of the region.

During the visit, DDC Kundal inspected the under-construction Sathra Bridge set to connect Sathra Block with Mandi Phagla Road, the construction of 100-bedded Girls Hostel at Sathra, the campus building of Government Polytechnic College Sathra, and the Water Supply Scheme at Chambra Saikloo. He issued specific directives to expedite these projects and ensure their timely completion with a focus on quality.

Inspecting the status of work on the 100-bedded Girls Hostel, DDC Kundal asked the Assistant Engineer PWD (R&B) to immediately conduct a preliminary survey for construction of the approach road to the Hostel from the main Polytechnic Campus.

At the Chambra Saikloo Water Supply Scheme, DDC Kundal emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of work to benefit the public at the earliest. The scheme, with a project cost of Rs. 298.94 lakhs, targets to provide 330 Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) in the area.
