DDC Reasi approves 122 Youth Entrepreneurship cases under Mission YUVA

REASI, JULY 15: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA met here today to review and approve youth entrepreneurship cases verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDU). The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Nidhi Malik.

A total of 130 cases, verified by SBDUs, were presented before the Committee for consideration. Of these, 122 were approved for financial assistance and handholding support under Mission YUVA. The committee carried out a detailed scrutiny of each application based on eligibility, business viability, and the socio-economic background of the applicants.

The DDC emphasised the importance of promoting self-employment opportunities for local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities. She further directed the stakeholders to support the beneficiaries in preparing sustainable project reports.

The DDC also urged all relevant departments to expedite release of financial assistance and extend technical and logistic support to entrepreneurs to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the approved projects.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering youth-driven entrepreneurship and promoting sustainable livelihoods through the coordinated and effective implementation of Mission YUVA across the district.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal; AD Employment Reasi (Member Secretary), Annie Vaid; DSWO Kanika; representatives from J&K Bank,DDM NABARD,JKEDI representative and other concerned officers.
