KATHUA, JUNE 25: District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kathua, organized a Job Fair at the DE&CC Office Kathua. The event saw participation from more than 200 jobseekers, eager to secure opportunities in the private sector.

A total of five prominent companies from various sectors took part in the fair, providing a robust platform for employment. The participating companies included Paytm, Agile Herbal, Innova Captab, Pukhraj Herbals, and RAXA Security Pvt. Ltd. These companies offered positions such as Sales Executive Officer, Wellness Advisor, Wellness Advisor Manager, Security Guard, Fitter, and more.

By the end of the event, 88 candidates had been shortlisted, with 75 securing on-the-spot job offers. This highlights the fair’s success in bridging the gap between jobseekers and employers, fostering significant employment opportunities within the region.

In addition to immediate job placements, the youth were educated about various government-sponsored self-employment schemes, including Mumkin, Tejaswini, and the SEI Scheme. These initiatives aim to encourage and support young individuals in becoming self-employed and job creators themselves.

Assistant Director Employment, Roopali Gandotra, addressed the attendees, informing them about upcoming training programs tailored to market demands. These programs, offered by the Department of Employment, will focus on enhancing the skills of the youth, thus increasing their employability.
