POONCH, DECEMBER 19: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review of the progress of eKYC of ration cards and other schemes of the Food Civil supplies and consumers affairs department.

Chairing a meeting, the DC sought detailed reports across all schemes. Assistant Director FCS & CA presented an in-depth overview of the department’s operations. Key discussion points included the status of stock, supply distribution, grievance redressal mechanisms etc.

The Assistant Director reported that the district maintains sufficient reserves of essential commodities, including wheat, rice, LPG, petrol, and diesel. To enhance accessibility, the department operates seven stores, 167 fair price shops, and 20 government sale depots for ration distribution.

The Deputy Commissioner focused on the status of e-KYC, NFSA, Non-NFSA, and PMFSS schemes, categorizing them into Non-Priority Households (NPHH), Priority Households (PHH), and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY). He reviewed the challenges faced by Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) across various zones in the district.

Emphasizing the urgency of the eKYC process, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all TSOs to ensure 100% linkage within the current week. He warned that failure to do so could result in the cancellation of fair price shop licenses. Additionally, he reviewed the status of Aadhaar seeding and discussed the rationalization of manpower, addressing various employee-related issues.
