Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan: Awareness/ Saturation camp held at panchayat Gagal in Wavoora Kupwara

KUPWARA, JUNE 23: In connection with the ongoing ‘Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan’, an awareness cum saturation camp was organized today by district administration Kupwara at panchayat Gagal in block Wavoora to provide awareness of Government schemes to the people and ensure enrollment of the targeted beneficiaries under these schemes.

Vice Chairman DDC, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir; SDM Lolab, Mudassir Ahmad, BDO Wavoora,  Officers from line departments and large number of people and school children attended the camp.

Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, launched on 15th of this month is a fortnight programme, aimed for saturation of centrally sponsored schemes in far flung tribal villages of district Kupwara to ensure coverage of the targeted beneficiaries under the Abhiyan.

District administration Kupwara has designated 14 tribal villages from 14 blocks of the district which are to be covered under the outreach cum enrollment camps during the Abhiyan which will culminate on June 30.

During the camp, VC DDC expressed his gratitude for conduct of the beneficiary oriented camp by the district administration in far flung Gagal village of Lolab. He appealed the people especially belonging to the weaker sections to come forward and enroll themselves under various schemes of the central government to improve their living standard.

Meanwhile, several cultural variety programmes were performed by the students to mark the celebration of Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan’. Various departments had installed their stalls, showcasing their schemes and enrolling the beneficiaries.

A large number of beneficiaries who participated in the camp were provided awareness of different centrally sponsored schemes while many of them got registered under these schemes during the camp.
