REASI, JANUARY 21: District Industries Centre (DIC) Reasi today organized awareness camps at 4 locations—Arnas, Thuroo, Panthal and Mahore—to educate the public about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.

These camps were held under the overall supervision of the General Manager of DIC, Mohammad Anwar Banday. The initiative aimed to inform the local populace about the benefits and opportunities provided by these government schemes to support self-employment, entrepreneurship, and the promotion of traditional craftsmanship.

The camps witnessed wide participation from the public, reflecting significant interest in availing the schemes. Attendees were briefed on the application process, eligibility criteria, and financial support available under the PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The schemes aim to empower individuals by offering financial assistance, skill development, and market access for sustainable livelihoods.

Speaking on the occasion, the officers of DIC Reasi emphasized the importance of such awareness drives in reaching out to the rural population. They highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and preserving traditional crafts, ensuring economic growth and employment generation in the region.

The camps were well-received, with attendees appreciating the efforts of DIC Reasi in bringing valuable information and guidance to their doorsteps.

For further details on PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma Scheme, the public is encouraged to contact the District Industries Centre, Reasi.
