JAMMU, DECEMBER 06: Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and NABARD Capex for District Samba at the CAO office Samba.

The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Samba, Rakesh Khajuria, SDAO Samba, Rajesh Gandotra, AEOs, JAEOs and officers from the Planning Section.

During the review, the Director assessed both physical and financial progress of ongoing projects in the district. He asked officers to work as a cohesive team, ensuring that the interest and welfare of farmers remain the topmost priority across every programme and intervention.

Anil Gupta directed the officers to furnish Utilization Certificates (UCs) within the prescribed time frame and send latest Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) to the Directorate without delay.

Reviewing project-wise achievements, the Director stressed on timely and quality completion of Hi-Tech Polyhouses, Millet Mills and other major physical targets under HADP. He instructed officers to maintain close coordination with Executing Agencies to ensure smooth execution and field-level implementation.

The Director also reviewed the expenditure status of the NABARD-funded Baba Jitto Project and directed to complete the remaining works within one week, ensuring full utilization of released funds.

He further underlined the need to accord special priority to PACS and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to ensure that these receive adequate support, capacity building, and linkage to schemes to enhance livelihood opportunities.

The meeting concluded with a call for strengthened monitoring, timely reporting, and a renewed commitment to achieving district targets within stipulated timelines.
