Director Employment reviews functioning of the department

SRINAGAR: Director Employment Kashmir, Nisar Ahmad Wani Monday convened a meeting here to review the functioning of the Employment Department, besides implementation of different self-employment schemes and registration process for unemployed youth.
On the occasion, the Director was apprised about the functioning of District Employment Offices and present status of various ongoing self-employment schemes being implemented in Budgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Kulgam districts.
The Director took a detailed review of the working of the Employment Department and implementation of self-employment schemes including Mumkin and Tejaswini.
Wani asked the officers to reach out to the unemployed youth by mobilising and sensitising through a strong IEC campaign in their respective districts and work out the employment avenues for them.
He further asked them to work in mission mode to ensure unemployed educated youth are provided proper counseling so that they opt for better income generating avenues.
The Director stressed on holding employment fairs/ job fairs for unemployed youth so that they are benefitted.
Among others the meeting was attended by Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors of Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Kulgam districts.
