KUPWARA, JULY 30: In a proud moment for the Ex-Servicemen community of Kupwara district, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) Kupwara has been formally appreciated by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, for its commendable role in the recently concluded 100 Days Nasha Mukt JK Abhiyan.
The commendation acknowledges the active and dedicated involvement of the Ex-Servicemen fraternity, mobilized under the leadership of Col S S Raja, ZSWO, in driving the anti-drug campaign to a successful conclusion. Over the course of the campaign, veterans took part in a wide range of activities like awareness drives, rallies, interactive sessions with students and youth, and outreach programmes across the district, all aimed at sensitizing the public to the dangers of substance abuse and promoting a drug-free way of life.
Expressing gratitude, the ZSWO appreciated every Ex-Serviceman, Veer Nari and volunteer who lent their time and effort to the campaign’s success, noting that their commitment once again reflects the discipline and social responsibility that define the ESM community.
Looking ahead, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office reiterated its resolve to remain an active partner with the district administration in future endeavours centred on youth empowerment, social awareness and community welfare.
