KUPWARA, APRIL 15: In continuation of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukht JK Abhiyan, the District Administration Kupwara in coordination with Handwara and Kupwara police today intensified joint enforcement operations across the district.

Coordinated teams comprising Tehsildars, Sub Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and SHOs conducted inspections and enforcement drives at identified hotspots and sensitive locations across all tehsils. The operations were undertaken with the objective of detecting and curbing illicit drug related activities, monitoring vulnerable areas, and ensuring strict adherence to the provisions of the law.

Particular emphasis was placed on the frequent inspection of high risk zones, with joint teams maintaining a visible and sustained presence to deter drug peddling and associated unlawful activities. The enforcement drives were carried out in a synchronized manner throughout the day.

During the course of these operations, on spot verification and ground level assessment of suspected premises and locations were conducted, thereby reinforcing the administration’s zero tolerance stance towards the menace of substance abuse.
